One company mentioned how the new hire\n sits right next to their mentor in the office.<\/li><li>Weekly\n one-on-ones &#8211; During the first month, the new hire has weekly \none-on-ones with the lead\/mentor (and a couple with the CEO as well). \nAfter the first month, the one-on-ones slow down to a more moderate pace\n such as biweekly or once a month.<\/li><li>Nailing\n the basics &#8211; Many companies have a document that explains processes and\n details like getting their computer all configured. Other companies set\n up the new person\u2019s desk with welcome notes, headphones, etc. and\/or \nhave a office seating chart with everybody\u2019s name so they know who is \nwho.<\/li><li>A\n clear first project &#8211; One recommendation is to design what the first \nmonth of the new hire will look like project-wise. What will they be \nresponsible for, and what\u2019s the ideal outcome?
